“I booked Upjohn House but was told I had to come to Henderson Castle to get the keys, and I should stay there instead. It was nice enough, the setting of Henderson Castle is beautiful. I had a lovely French breakfast my first morning, but when I came down the second morning, no one was around, I was told breakfast was from 6:30-9:30, and I was downstairs at 7:00. So no breakfast the second day, I was really disappointed as I left the place. I liked my little room, the bed was comfortable and……

“Had a great stay, was in town for a dog show. Had our dogs with us as well as had several others in the hotel for the dog show as well. Never heard another dog or even person the whole time while inside so was very impressed that it was so quiet. The breakfast was decent. The down comfort was a bit discolored and kinda stained a bit but the sheets were nice crisp bright white. The room was clean and nice, there was some damage to the back of the bathroom door from a previous dog. The carpet was……

“Great staff, and great property, but very limited in local dining, especially if you get in later. Some fast food locations looked so dilapidated, I thought they were abandoned. No kitchenette at this stay. Expect to visit the next town Portage for any supplies.”
