"Great location. We did have a big room to begin with but found quite a few ants so was moved to another block in a much smaller room - not much of an issue as the room was lovely with comfortable bedding. Great location to explore. "

They have coin operated washers and dryers in site, best of all are the staff, such really nice people. Would definitely stay again. "Spotless room. Great amenities. Staff; kind and friendly…helpful. Our main issue was that it’s not *our* typical hotel experience. We were there for 6-days and had some pleasant day and a few issues with the way of managed us as customers. *The check-in and check-out process was our biggest challenge: They required a *cash only* deposit…something I may have missed on the app when reserving. When we checked out, our departure was delayed because the desk clerk told me she had to go to our room and walk-through and I had to return the deposit receipt given to me when checking in before we checked out. Otherwise, the best thing about staying there was the attached mall and neighbor filled with shops and restaurants. "

"We stayed for 4 days enjoying the kind and thoughtful hospitality provided by Brendan Hamid and Hamada. The recently restored bungalow was fully equipped, very comfortable and had lovely touches like a library of recent books on Penang history its buildings and gardens, flora and fauna. We stayed in a large room on the ground floor which was spotless. The views from the balcony of Georgetown and Butterworth were wonderful. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Penang Hill funicular station, restaurants and cafes. The Eythrope was an excellent base for an extremely enjoyable relaxed stay on Penang Hill. "
