"On a very hot weekend we were allocated a room on the top floor next to the kitchen extractor fan. We, and especially our dog, could not have slept in the very high temperature. The staff were extremely accommodating and despite the hotel being very busy, we were moved to another cooler and less smelly room. The hotel is lovely and the grounds are amazing. We've visited a few times and they are steadily updating the hotel and the lovely swimming pool is now open again. There's an element of faded glory that they are trying to address and the hotel has a lot going for it."
