"Absolutely stunning hotel and the service was top notch. We came here to get away from Tokyo this is our first visit to this area and this hotel was amazing! We were greeted immediately and checked in, the staff also speak English and were very nice to us. They have a ton of items you can rent from board games to flat irons. The rooms are huge, the showers are amazing. We didn’t get to try the onsen this time but we will definitely be back.
This hotel is right on a shopping street where you can shop for various items food and it’s even close to a lit Karuizawa sign area you can take photos this time of year. If you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo stay here. We did Hakone 3 times before we found this area and 100% would stay here over Hakone. "
"Our room was very clean and well maintained. Other areas of the hotel was also neat and organized. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service is simple but very helpful being in a quiet area in a small prefecture. "
"Fresh fruits and vegetables for breakfast, helpful staff, and very quiet accommodations led to a very pleasant 3-night stay.
Overall, highly recommended."
"What a great hotel! Clean comfortable rooms in a lovely setting, an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We especially appreciated the welcoming, friendly staff who spoke excellent English. The bar was cozy and featured amazing cocktails - the gin & tonic with "forest" syrup was my favorite (so much so that I bought a bottle of the syrup to bring home). Would absolutely recommend this hotel, and hope to visit again someday!"
