Very botique hotel with a lot of old artifacts decorating the place. Its a funny thing to rave about, but the bread thwy make is amazing. It has this eggy bounce to it that makes it irresistable. Located in a great section of old town.

Don’t look any further. This hotel was spectacular. We had an unfortunate Air BNB experience and had to leave after one night. We had plans at 9 am and lots of luggage. We booked with Hotel Hippocampus and they allowed us to leave our bags that morning until we could formally check in. Our room was spacious, beds were comfortable, TV had access to our apps at home and the location in Old Town was unbeatable. Staff were lovely and the included breakfast was delicious. I will say that the website warning regarding music being played at until late at night was correct. We had ear plugs and a sound machine and could still slightly hear the music, but slept soundly and wouldn’t stop us from staying here again!

Such a nice place to stay at the end of our trip through the balkans. The room was lovely and in a great location. The noise from the surrounding bars was noticeable but we were warned as soon as we booked. My sister struggled to sleep but I had no problem. If you are a light sleeper, it may not be for you. Didn’t affect my experience of the place. Had a lovely time.

Great little hotel, nice staff, good location. Enjoyed the breakfast. Only downside is the very loud music from nearby club that goes till 1am in the morning. Not the hotel's fault but doesn't allow for a restful night's sleep.

Very nice boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. Easily accessible from any of the town gates and only a 10-15 minute walk to the bus station. Roof terrace is lovely for breakfast, lunch or just a drink and a book. One word of warning, that is nothing to do with the hotel per se, but room 102 is right above The Old Town Pub across the street and it is extremely noisy until 1am. Bring ear plugs or go for a room on a higher floor on the other side of the hotel. Unless you’re one of the revellers out until the early hours!

Located in the heart of the old town Kotor, Hotel Hippocampus is an excellent boutique hotel. Just 3 min walking from both sea gate and river gate, hotel Hippocampus is manned by excellent friendly staffs. Our superior room was very clean, beautiful stylish luxurious interior, very comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. The breakfast served was freshly made and tasteful. Highly recommended for a perfect stay in Kotor.

This is properly a boutique hotel. It feels special the moment you walk in. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and very well designed. The building is cosy and location great. (Bar across the road a bit noisy, if you're a light sleeper ask for a room at the back). Roof bar beautiful. Staff SO friendly. The only thing I would change is to make breakfast a generous buffet situation rather than an order and eat situation. On the whole, very pleased, would go back. Probably will.

Yeri mükemmel. Asansör olması çok iyi. Çatı teras restoran çok şirin. Oda gayet geniş ve temiz. Kahvaltı çok özenli. Tek sorun gece uzun süren yüksek sesli müzik. Tıkaç bile bir işe yaramıyor. Müzik bitmeden uyuyamadım ama bu nedenle puan kırmadım. Onların elinde değil bu durum. Tüm old town yüksek sesli müzikle inliyor. Bunu dert etmeyeceksiniz otelin herşeyini seversiniz.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and located in the heart of the old town - it’s very easy to get to everywhere and there’s lots of food options around. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean. The thing that really let it down were the bars outside which blasted music until 1am - I am a heavy sleeper but even I couldn’t ignore the room vibrating from the music outside. It’s fair that this is not the hotel’s fault, and the staff were extremely apologetic but there was unfortunately nothing they could do and so it meant I got poor sleep 2/3 nights we stayed (this was on weekdays). Alternatively, you could join in on the party at the bars instead!
