「This was our favorite stay in Japan! The staff were the kindest and most helpful people. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable. We stayed in the river suite (Jitoku) and the sound of the water was so peaceful. The room has an attached private shower/bath, toilet, and sink. There is an onsen available that is private (it can hold up to two people in the same group, you mark it as occupied when you are in there). 「First, the staff was lovely, kind and very helpful. However, the property was very old, not kept up at all, and very far outside of the city. It’s by a beautiful river, but outside of a seating area, there is no place to walk or enjoy it. The property smells of mold (if you are sensitive, you may need to pass). And there was black mold growing on the tub/shower. The breakfast was a beautiful representation of a traditional Japanese start to the day, however, and we were thankful to enjoy it.」

He was very nice and explained to us what we could do around the small town. It was the season of firefly sighting so we decided to explore the town at night, he noticed that me and my companion was wearing short sleeves and quickly told us to wear a jacket to protect us from insect bites, he even lend us a torch as it was quite dark on the streets.
