“Advised a pond view, yes there was a pond but the furniture was so dirty you couldn’t seat outside. The sliding door didn’t even have a handle to get outside. It was heavy and definitely a fire hazard if you needed to get out in a rush. The sliding door was also there without a screen. Look like they update the fixtures but not well maintained interior. I have to say that the beds were very comfortable and it was clean inside. My first experience renting an air b and b. I think I would be more……

“Property is close to tons of restaurants and little cafes and bakeries. We had no one above us until the last night. You definitely can hear all noises walking around above you. But place was very clean, all amenities you need and more were there. The host was very nice and answers all your questions and is very accommodating. Highly recommend. Traffic and parking anywhere is a nightmare in the city so be prepared.”

“A group of friends rented out this property along with another unit in the building since we were in town for a wedding. The unit was lovely and clean with plenty of fresh towels. It is about a 40 minute walk to Poogan's Porch but it is a beautiful walk and goes fast. There is a cute coffee shop around the corner to kick off your morning and Holy City bagels is about 10 minutes away. I will warn that this unit is on the road so the front two bedrooms do hear quite a bit of traffic from cars……

“Overall it was a good. The stairs are fairly steep and need to be considered if desiring to rent it. Also the parking for this unit is very difficult to get into and out of. But we did like to be able to look out and see the fireworks over the other buildings. It does need instructions for worling the dishwasher and stove vent as if you don't have those models you will have a problem with them. When we needed something we got good service from the company for the most part.”

“Although, we were informed by an Uber driver, the two years ago the neighborhood this houses in would not have been safe, we found the direct opposite to be true. Not only was the unit, beautiful and spotlessly clean, there were bars and restaurants with a short walking distance, and if you don’t feel like walking complete downtown, Ubers are always available. Definitely a place I would pick again on my next trip to Charleston.”

“This location was perfect for 4 women in their 30s to experience Charleston but able to escape the hustle of King St. Bistronomy by Nico was by far our favorite restaurant and it is a 4 minute walk from the property. There was plenty of space for all of us to get ready. Two of us shared a King bed which worked great for us. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.”

“This is a beautiful apartment with convenience to all of downtown Charleston. We did not have any issues with wifi or water pressure. There was a little construction during the day, but at night, was just normal downtown noise, and there was a sound machine in the bedrooms if you needed it. The outdoor space is cozy and comfortable and a great place to unwind. We would definitely stay again.”

“If this is in your desired location and budget, you can make it work. Despite the following comments, I would consider staying here again, but it’s not perfect. The front door has an electric unlocking mechanism that is challenging to use. The door is loose and the deadbolt struggles to find the hole. Instead of fixing it, they decided to make-it/work. The entire unit is built on an uneven floor. Whether you walk on the carpet, wooden floor or bathroom tile, you’ll be going up/down as much……

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. We would totally recommend and would come back if we visit Charleston again. ”
