「The house was great. It was right on the water, and the lake and area are beautiful. The only downside for us was that there wasn't much around to do. There are two small towns in either direction, but they only have a few restaurants and small shops. Traverse City has more and is about 45 minutes away. Since there wasn't a lot to do, it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have been on. The kids had a blast on the paddle boards and kayaks. Bring water shoes because the shore is rocky....

With four adults and four kids, having two living room areas was ideal—it gave the kids their own space, which helped them settle down at night. The location was also fantastic! We loved being able to walk to the dock to fish and then spend our days at the Lake Michigan beaches. The only suggestion I have is to improve communication with the owner, as messages sent through VRBO didn’t seem to go through.」

「The lake front home is located deep in the woods far from the road and is exceptionally quiet and private. Glen Arbor, the dune climb and Lake Michigan are just minutes drive away. The Alligator Hill trail system is right across the road so if you are a dog walker, there are miles of pristine wooded trails to hike. I have stayed here several times in the past 15 years. 「This was a great little cottage (tiny home) just a few minutes away from restaurants and shops downtown and only 10ish minutes from Christmas Cove beach. It's around 20 minutes from Sutton's Bay in one direction and Leland in another, and it's very close to Leelanau State Park as well. We stayed as a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 kid) and had enough room for our needs.
