Our stay at The Delegate was pleasant and nice, but it was the leaving / departure process that was problematic. Visions of Hotel California kept haunting us.
The Delegate charged us 3 times for rooms when we checked out even though we paid at booking weeks in advance thru Expedia. It took more than two weeks and 5 phone calls to the hotel for them to apply the required three credit refunds to our credit card. Jason, the operations mgr, finally got the issue resolved for us ... but it still took him more than a week and 3 phone calls to get it done.
At one point, staff were requesting us to send them a copy of our credit card statement and calling us from their personal phones. Not a comfortable situation. And the closest we got to an apology was a "we are a newer hotel and the staff is still being trained". An excuse, A reason. Not an apology.
Morale of the story. The Delegate is a nice hotel. But beware of untrained staff, tardy borderline incompetent complaint resolution, and unscrupulous business practices. Guard your credit cards and personal information!
