“Stayed one night when attending a wedding in the castle.
Can only recommend on my visit.
Looked after by Cathy from arrival until breakfast next morning. Had dinner at Crown hotel a few mins from hotel and 10% discount on food was applied for hotel guests. Mind flash the key fob to let them know before the bill is on table.
Lovely freshly cooked breakfast was served and tea/ coffee top ups were no trouble if asked for.
Recommend the Kirkstyle if staying in the area.”

“Booked just ‘cause it fitted my travel plans but found a great wee Hotel punching well above. Dinky room but well appointed. Great restaurant with good selection on menu, delicious 2 courses served by friendly, attentive staff. Breakfast cooked fresh, best I’ve had in sometime. Very good quality for not a lot of money. Thank you for being so welcoming.”

“Booking was easy, however, the writing was on the wall from early on during our stay. The cups in the room were ring stained, like they were washed out, not washed up. When we asked for a clean cup; rather than changing the dirty cup for a clean one, staff made a point of inspecting the cup and saying it was rinsed but maybe not scrubbed. Yeah, hence why it's dirty, because it's not been cleaned.
Our first night was terrible. We were woken at about 0300 by other guests. The next 1.5 hours were……

“Lovely old hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful which is what would make me return.
Food was very good but I felt quite pricey for certain items.
Room was quite small for two sharing but we had everything we needed. Slippers and robes were a nice touch as were the biscuits.
Coffee at breakfast was lovely.
Shower tray was lethal, very slippy and I would recommend some sort of grippers be put down.
A fridge to keep water bottles cold would have been appreciated especially as it……

“This was a wonderfully charming little BnB! The room was spotless and felt brand new. Cozy outdoor patio surrounded by blooming flowers and plants.
