「Everyone on the hotel staff was so nice and made us feel at home. The hotel was beautiful with wonderful views of the city. The pool deck was really nice and relaxing. Our spa services were outstanding!」

「The Vine was an excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would particularly highlight Hermes, Carmo, Bernardo and Jorges in the bar, the restaurant and at breakfast. It was a shame that my room upgrade was not available but the room we had was still nice. The Vine is easy walking distance to the harbour, the old town and multiple restaurants. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant are also a fantastic place to spend time. 」

「Fabulous small, luxury hotel set in beautiful and extensive gardens and grounds. Good breakfast, dining and bar and two lovely outdoor pools, heated to just the right temperature. Staff are all amazing - nothing too much trouble.」

「Really interesting building, with access to the various levels via external escalators. An intriguing Bond villain vibe! The staff were all lovely, facilities were very good, and the rooms were simple but pleasant. The spa area was sometimes a little understaffed, but the pool was very nice and clean, with beautiful views. The restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. Overall a really nice stay!」

「Due to glitch in the reservation system, the hotel was overbook. We were transported by hotel's shuttle to their other property Hotel Quinta Mirabella. Beautiful hotel with excellent views. Every was perfect there.Little bit further from the centre of Funchal, but the hotel provided the shuttle few times per day. There was also bus stop around the corner - very convenient .」
