「This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. 「Overall we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for 1 night as we were visiting Chatsworth house the next day, and the location was convenient. The check-in process was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty standard, spacious, comfy bed. On site parking was decent The only things I can say negatively was the shower wasn't great, the toilet had a really weak flush. The floor was very creeky, and there was quite a bit of noise coming from the room above in the morning.」

「A traditional old style public house. We enjoyed our stay. The room was as expected, clean and tidy, and we were pleased to have a full bath in the ensuite. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. 「We stayed at the Pilsley Inn for one night to see Chatsworth on our way to Manchester. The pub food and service were great. We had 2 meals (dinner and breakfast) and both service and food were really very good. Servers and staff were attentive and hospitable. The location is also excellent.
