“A nice roomy place. Nice inside & comfortable But the exterior & windows & window tracks needed a good cleaning. The uneven stones & no railing at the top of the staircase to get to the dock made it pretty treacherous for anyone with balance issues or a recent knee replacement like myself.”

“Took the family to southern Illinois for a quick getaway. The property was great. Really loved the pool and hot tub! The view from the back of the house of the lake was great! The kids and myself enjoyed the paddle boats! The entertaining area was quite large. Would be great for weddings, family reunions, etc.”

“This was exactly what we needed for our trip!! My partner and I are rock climbers, we visit this area often to climb at the Holy Boulders in Pomona, and we came up at this time to see the eclipse. Usually we camp or stay up in Carbondale, but we are already looking at coming back here for our next trip! Alto Pass is so cute and cozy, and it was so nice to come back here and recharge after long days of climbing and hiking in the woods. Steve is an awesome host, and his spot is fully equipped with……

“Very nice location perched on top of bluffs and at lease one shelter bluff that Indians once used. Ideal location for getting to lakes for fishing and close to town for awesome pizza. The house itself is set up very nicely, especially with the lower and upper decks, focking chairs, fire pit and enjoyable nature. Will return again for sure.”
