「I enjoyed that the staff was very accommodating for someone like me who travels very unprepared. I was able to wait in the lobby and they even let me compare prices without seeming annoyed or rushing me.」

「The room didn’t have a phone, alarm clock, hair dryer, coffee pot, or any kitchen essentials as it was advertised as a kitchenette. Not too mention no breakfast was served on the site. Also we had to leave a day early due to the storm and gave plenty of notice and the man at the front desk said there was nothing he could do. The price was outrageous for a bed!!!! Won’t be back! 」

「This hotel is exactly as advertised. It is a beautiful, quaint, elegant hotel in the middle of downtown Sedalia. They have really done a lot to maintain the original construction as much as possible. The food in the Oak Room was 5 stars and moderately priced. Excellent walking distance to almost anything you would like to see. The downtown architecture is beautiful. Would definitely return.」

「Nichole was so helpful. We were arriving after 7:30pm and she suggested the J Huston Tavern in Arrow Rock for dinner. She also made our check in after hours easy. This Hotel is lovely and the gardens were beautiful. We loved this historic hotel and the Railroad History. We slept in a comfortable post bed. It was more than a hotel it was also a museum for us. Recommend, recommend and recommend.」

「The room was clean and bed comfortable. The ceiling had cracks in it and along the outside wall there was black areas at the top where the ceiling meet the wall. The breakfast was considered continental but was very limited and the coffee was from a dispensing machine. The staff was very kind and helpful.」

「Check in time was 4pm. Asked several times if room was ready. Finally at 445 got in room. Stayed in dog friendly room. Room was nice but floor had dog hair from previous pet. Our yorkie doesn't shed, so hair was not hers. Mentioned to front desk so we wouldn't be charged for extra cleaning. Overall nice, clean hotel and casino. Nice restaurant.」

「This is a great little place to stay between KC and STL. Its in a small quiet town with a few places to eat. The hotel has been renovated and my room was clean and comfortable. Support this local business!」

「They don’t tell you on the website but even if you book online you have to pay a deposit and it doesn’t say that nowhere also I booked for a cheaper rate and they still tried to charge me more for the room I had no issues with the room it’s self you get what you paid for i will not be returning here souly on the staff I mean it wasn’t a lot for the deposit either I just only had enough for the room it’s self and had I known and then I forgot to put I had an infant and they made a huge deal about...

「Perfect location. We could Walk the Katy trail to the farmers market and restaurants. The hotel bar was quaint and had wonderful crafted drinks. The dining room and food were fresh and delicious. Our room overlooked the river , but was somewhat noisy due to the cooling system located above us on the roof. Overall this hotel was nostalgic and a delight to stay at.」

「Place was filthy. Sheets were stained, towels stained, toilet seat scratched up and missing paint on the seat, sink scratched up and stained, shower curtain stained. The only positive thing was the ac was ice cold but probably was blowing all kinds of nasty germs and mold into the air.」
