"The staff was absolute amazing and kind. We were very comfortable in our room with our family of four. It was very clean, no mosquitoes and had bottle water. It has a very nature-like feel. Lunch and dinner was amazing. You must try their curries. I would give them 5-stars but the breakfast buffet was not great. It can definitely provide satiation, but I like to enjoy meals for the taste and variety on vacation."

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. "I don't really stay in resorts so I don't have much to compare. The grounds, facilities and rooms were immaculate and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The view from my room was stunning and the beach was also immaculate. Some things did come up that made my stay a little less enjoyable. This is an alcohol free resort, this was my fault for not realizing but there were restaurants nearby that served alcohol We left our previous hotel to catch a flight to Zanzibar at 4am. We arrived at the hotel starving. Unfortunately it was in between breakfast and lunch so no food options. We were advised that there were restaurants that serve all day which was not the case for us. We went door to door and were told 12:30. We finally found one and it took 1 hr and 15 minutes for our food which was past 12:30! We would have been fine with a premade sandwich Other minor things, we could not have 2 keys for our room so my friend and I couldn't really do our own thing without one of us being locked out. It also would have been helpful to have an ATM nearby. We wanted to leave tips but ran of of cash"

"Property grounds were nice. Rooms are a bit dated. The TV and telephone in our room did not work. Manager at reception was very accommodating and made our stay much better. The massages were excellent. Highly recommend them.! Wifi is awful! Love the balconies! The other downside is the beach, the beach is beautiful but you have to pay 25$ for 2 chairs and umbrella every day if you want to be on the beach. Otherwise they do have beach chairs on man made beach near infinity pool. Just depends on your preference! Food is ok. Nothing to rave about but something for everyone!"

"The spa massage girls are AMAZING. I have had my share of massages in 60 countries. These women are magical. I wanted to take them back to LA with me. The rest of the staff was wonderful too. Great place- beautiful people. Zanzibar is a jewel. Good food. Great pools. Great bar service. 😊 Just do NOT - from a scuba diver/ environmentalist- go on ANY DOLPHIN TOURS! They are barbaric. Coming from California- these poor animals are hunted by 32-130 boats and many drive OVER THE PODS- then tourists are allowed to JUMP ON THEM in the water. It turned my stomach. I was here for an environmental program to protect the ocean and sea life. Please don’t participate."
