“The hotel is old but very nicely maintained and uniquely decorated; great food in the bar/restaurant, though a bit pricey for a very small community like this. Staff are helpful as well.”

So neither I or my wife could have a shower that evening or the next morning ( today ) . “Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.”

“Location fantastic,staff very friendly, breakfast was great parking was ok too. The room was a big let down, I have stayed there before and said that the rooms looked tired and I was assured that they were being upgraded in January . “The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.”
