「The only criticism i have is too late for booking in and on a personal note i think 08:30 is a little late for breakfast. Beside that i found the place fantastic. Great accommodation and friendly staff and ideally situated for exploring the lake district.」

「I can't recommend this venue enough. Foon Delicious. Friendly Staff who go the extra mile. Relaxed and dog friendly. Sunday Roast dinner was exceptional and breakfast lovely. Complements to the chef and kitchen staff too. 」

「Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming. We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay.」

「We had another lovely stay at The Eagle & Child. It offers great value for money. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The en-suite shower room was a good size and the shower was powerful and hot. Tea and coffee making facilities in room with complimentary bottles of water were appreciated as were the chocolate biscuits.
