"The hotel itself is incredible, the staff are helpful and friendly and the room was excellent. A couple of negative comments: I stayed in Room 7 which was a real trek from the reception area including a very tight set of steps at the end. Very difficult with a suitcase. The parking gave great confusion. On the noticeboards in the car park it clearly states that your car registration has to be declared in the hotel and parking paid for. I duly registered my car for the number of nights on the keypad. When I asked about payment, one member of staff told me there was nothing to pay as I was a hotel guest. Another member of staff told me I did need to pay. When I left I again inquired about parking and was told there was nothing to pay and indeed refused to take my money. It was then qualified by the statement 'if you receive a parking fine, contact us and we will void it'. I didn't fill me with confidence that the staff do not appear to know whether or not hotel guests are required to pay for parking or not. It is to be seen whether I receive a fine or not..."

"Checked in for overnight stay for a wedding. When I checked in I paid for the room got my key. I was then told oh the floor you are on has some heating issues but there’s heaters in the room. I was ok with that. When I got to my room which was very me no heater, I rang down to reception they were very polite and said well sort it straight away within 5 minutes a lady was there with a good sized oil filled heater . My room was cozy and warm and smelt amazing . Breakfast was amazing too staff amazingly polite. Definitely stay again ."

"We had a 2 night stay at the Sheffield Novotel and really enjoyed our stay. Staff were helpful, room was clean and large. We accidentally booked an accessible room so the shower was not positioned as it would be in a regular room. We had breakfast one morning and the lady in charge helped me with the gluten free items. We used the pool and steam room for an hour during our stay which was a pleasant addition. The hotel is literally at the back of the Wingter gardens so we could easily access the city centre. It is also a very short walk from the railway station too."
