Another great stay at Luau

We've been here a few times and have stayed in Luau I and II. We enjoyed our stay. This time we had tram passes which alloed us to use the tram (that was nice). Excellent location and close proximity to Beach and Beach House. The pool is awesome.

We loved our stay here. Beach was a good 10 min walk. Pool was awesome! Just wish the place could be a bit updated as far as furniture, decor and better pots and pans. Stay was overall great!

This property was great for our family! With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, these units worked out great for our family of 9. It was our first visit to Sandestin and we had a great time! My only recommendation would be to add a couple of kitchen towels and potholders.

This condo was perfect for our stay. Location is amazing and amenities were exceptional. Checking in was a breeze and communication from manager was precise and easy to understand. Plenty of room for everyone considering it rained the whole weekend we were celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday and high school graduation but we still had a great time. Definitely be back again soon. Thanks from the Runge tribe

The kitchen had many utensils, pots, and pans needed to cook full meals. My only minor complaint is that there were so many bowls, plates, glasses, utensils, etc. that there was no where to store our groceries. The best part of the condo was the fabulous view from the terrace and all windows. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Location was great BUT we contacted the managing company REPEATEDLY for help with one of the bathrooms. At least 5 times we asked for a plumber due to the sulfur and rotten eggs smells from the water in the toilet, shower, and kitchenette. We were unable to use the 3rd bedroom and 3rd bathroom due to the smell. No one ever called back or showed up to assist. We’ve asked for a partial refund considering we paid for 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms but only got to use 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We were CRAMPED. Floss and hair in bathroom drawers. Twin sheets for a full size pull out bed. We had to go get sheets just to sleep on the pull out. Hugely disappointed!!!!!!!

Walked i to a filthy, old condo, with stained furniture and awfully kept. I immediately called MyVacation Haven and they dispatched housekeeping. Four days we were inconvenienced to have cleaners, carpet cleaners, maintenance, etc. I asked for compensation for inconvenience and never heard back. I for one would not recommend!

Old & Dirty Furniture/Carpet

All furniture with upholstery plus carpet was disgusting. Years of dirt and stains were immediately apparent on ALL couches, dining chairs, & bar chairs. Bed mattresses were old. Mattress on pullout bed had a large sweat or urine stain. Flip side had a dark stain...I'm scared to know what that was. We refused to use it and slept 4 in the King bed. We sprayed everything with disinfectant and covered it with sheets. Carpet made us cringe. Night stands, tables, etc. were also clearly old and chipped. If our stay were longer, we would've left and fought for a refund. Owners have to know the condition of the place. Building condition was ok. Pool area was nice. Location was great. DO NOT choose this unit.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location with wonderful views of the ocean and the harbor. Plenty of room with a good floor plan for families. Unit is in need of updates as it is definitely showing wear and tear. The furniture is scratched and worn, the stove top is cracked and although there are lots of kitchen supplies,(very nice), there isn’t any room to store any food other than the refrigerator. A small bookcase in the dining room would be an huge addition for renters. Upon checking in, cleanliness was disappointing. The kitchen and bedrooms/ bathrooms were clean but the floors were sticky and needed to be vacuumed. My Vacation Haven did not respond despite a promise to have someone come clean again. The non-working ceiling fan in the lockoff unit was supposed to be replaced per My Vacation Haven’s rep but, once again, that didn’t happen as promised. This was our second time of renting this same unit but we will not be back nor will we be using My Vacation Haven in the future.

Unit has some needs!

The space and layout of the unit was great. Kitchen lacks storage for groceries. Attention to some of the furniture and decor needs to be done. Furniture on the patio is completely rusted out. Had trouble with some outlets and a ceiling fan not working. A lamp that had been broken and then glued together. We had friends staying in the exact type of room above us and their condo was in much newer condition for the same price.

Great Property/Great Location

This was a great property and the location was central to EVERYTHING. The condo setup was awesome. This was a couples trip with myself and my husband an 2 other couple friends. Each room had a great view of the beach/ocean. The condo itself could be updated decoratively speaking but that's just me being nick picky :) The beds were also comfortable. I would DEFINITELY recommend this property as I will be renting again.

Really nice condo but the beach was too crowded

Really nice condo but the beach was too crowded. The dryer was dead when we got there. They said that it wasn't fixable. I had to make 4 phone calls over a day and a half time frame to get this info out of the management company. I asked for towels to get us through the stay since we had to dry out clothes in the basement coin dryer. It took two phone calls to get towels delivered. We rented chairs on the beach. Since it was a public beach they let people set up tents anywhere they wanted. This includes right in front of the chairs you rent. If you are looking for a nice beach where you won't have to fight with tents and overcrowding I would not recommend this place.

Amazing condo... beautiful views...responsive property management!

The location of this condo was perfect! Just outside of Destin so not caught up in all the traffic. Close to grocery store and shopping centers too! Although it was not right on the beach, the 5-minute walk was a breeze. The condo has a beautiful pool as well which was much appreciated since riptides prevented us from getting in the ocean. The beach was beautiful though! The split floor plan of the condo was perfect for our family and having the extra studio room with bathroom was invaluable! My Vacation Haven who managed the property was very responsive to my questions. We had no issues with check in either. The condo was exactly as advertised and we will definitely be back!

Perfect location!

The view from balcony was amazing! Just a short walk to the beach, or just hop on a tram & a short trip to the wharf area for shopping, entertainment, & food. There is so much to do, wish we stayed longer to enjoy it more. Comfortable beds & plenty of space to rest & relax!
