"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. "Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."

"Property location to yosemite is only 10 miles or so making it very easy in and out of park. Everything is maintained well..especially the chandelier pool.Added bonus is the riverfront beach across the street setup with tables chairs and grills...very nice setup! Definately recommend for everyone!"
