During our stay there was ongoing construction, and we were woken up as early as 6 a.m. by loud banging noises. On top of that, both the pool and hot tub were out of order, which was very disappointing. The room itself did not feel clean. The floors felt dirty, and the bedding had stains, hair, and crumbs on it, making it seem like the sheets hadn’t been properly washed or changed. The front desk staff was also not friendly or helpful at all. I called down to request housekeeping bring us some coffee and extra towels, and the front desk attendant told me I had to come down to the office to get the coffee myself and take towels from a hallway cabinet. She said if the cabinet was empty, I would have to wait until 10 a.m. when housekeeping refilled it. I’ve never stayed at a motel or hotel where basic items like coffee and towels were completely self-serve. When I asked if housekeeping could bring them up, she said they could bring the towels, but housekeeping never showed up. Between the construction noise, unavailable amenities, lack of cleanliness, and poor customer service, the experience was very frustrating and disappointing

The staff was very friendly and I felt safe at night walking the parking lot and standing out front on the sidewalk. The rooms were clean and with two children I appreciated that there was a door separating the two beds instead of the typical side by side; loved this most about the room. The fireplace worked great and the shower was nice.

1) when booking, I selected "pay at property", as this was a working trip. I arrived to check in and use my work card, not the one that Expedia had on file. I found the hotel had charged my personal card which resulted in an overdraft fee and several hours of trying to sort out my account. They would not let me use the bank card I brought with me. When contacted about the best way to proceed with a refund or to charge a different card, I was told it was a third party processing problem, not theirs. When contacting Expedia I was told to contact the property. At a loss. 2) the odor in the room, specifically emanating from the drain, was incredibly bad. The entire room smelled like sewage. Slept with the windows and doors open to sleep comfortably. 3) as we were leaving in the morning I was waiting outside my room, since it smelled so bad inside, sitting on one of the flower bed ledges. The maid was cleaning the room above us and without looking below shook out a dirty mat covering me with debris, rocks, and dust. My team witnessed this happen. At the very least glance down at the walkway before shaking a dirty mat out over where guests may be. I’ve never left a negative review about a hotel before this one. So disappointing.

Place was decent for the price and last minute booking. Only concern of mine was the very strong Clorox smell within the room.

Was notified at 3pm room was ready. Upon arrival room was NOT ready and took an additional hour to complete. Being upset with 4 fussy kids this may have "rushed" cleaner. Drawers were not emptied from previous stayers my kids had to find personal and sexual toys in their drawers.
