This apartment is in an excellent location. Right in downtown Montreal. Lots of restaurants and bars right outside the front door. It’s centrally located to everything. The beds is very comfortable. It had very hot water, a strong shower and good air conditioning. There is an elevator to the apartment and there is paid parking available in the apartment building. I would recommend reserving that in advance. Excellent communication with the property contact. He was very responsive the entire time.

To start, the listing is ambiguous about the washer and dryer, at one point it says it is in unit, but elsewhere it says it is in the building. It is a paid washer and dryer in a public area. Also the dryer didn't work and the host apologized and that was it. It cost 20CAD, because you have to purchase the card for 10, then the minimum you can load is 10.The unit is not only dated, but not well maintained:The bathroom has 4 recessed lights, 3 were out and one was a bulb wired in and dangling from the ceiling. I called twice about this and no one fixed it, the second time they never even showed up. The dish washer was duct taped closed when I arrived, when I asked about it, they had no clue and the maintenance man took the tape off and said it was fine. Half the outlets didn't work. Half the bulbs in the lights were out. The furniture in the pictures are nice, the couches I got were vastly different and looked like they were picked up from a thrift shop. The coffee table was broken shoved in a closet.The lobby and elevators are ridiculous hot.In check in instructions they give your a code to the front doors and tell you to go to the elevators and your room will be unlocked, but you can't get an elevator without the room key, so you better hope someone lets you on the elevator.The host was very responsive when I contacted, but they seemed to want to guilt me into giving them a good review. The area is nice, it's near the bar scene. i would not recommend.
