Lovely village and home
Stephan and Gwen were delightful hosts and the house was large, comfortable, clean and a beautiful view. The hotel in town had really great food. Make sure you have reservations though. They did help us by letting us do take away when we didn’t. The area had so many great things to see. Really close to Stonehaven (our host told us about it) and you must see Dunnottar Castle located just a short drive from here. Had some gifts and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival. The host lives next door so if we had an issue they were readily available. Definitely would stay here again.

JOHNSHAVEN
We had a lovely week at seashore house It's yards from the sea and everyone in the village is so friendly. The house has everything you need and 3 bathrooms are a bonus espcially if you have family. If you like seafood the lobster shack is a must. Watching the dolphins was an unexpectd surprise. Stephen and Gwen are next door so are on hand if any problems occur. We can definitely recomment this property.

AMAZING!!!

We spent wonderful days at this nice seaside cottage. Great location right at the seaside. Very clean and convenient location. Direct acces to a nice costal walk towrds Gourdon.

Lovely home, bright, welcoming and in a great location
Family of four had a wonderful long-weekend break here. The house was well equipped for our needs, comfortable and clean - highly recommended and we would defintely go again. Johnshaven is a lovely location (with a great restaurant) and so are nearby Dunnottar Castle and Stonehaven.

Really very very good
Comfy, handy, well equipped. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. (Even saw orcas bobbing by). Dogs also give a full 5 stars for the location and "walkies" just a few steps away from outside the front door. We look forward to our next visit.

the property is directly on the water giving a great view at all times. the town is a good change of pace. friendly people and a nice restaurant / hotel. we recommend this property highly. Our hosts were helpful in giving us any information we needed before and during our stay

Lovely house, lovely village, just lovely
We had a fantastic week at Sea Shore House. The location is perfect - next to the sea but away from huddle and bussle. Easy travelling distance to Dundee, Aberdeen, Cairngorms etc. Rocky beach but great for exploring. Very definitely recommended

Seashore house
We all had a wonderful holiday the house itself was spotless with a picturesque view also very homely feeling with everything you need for your stay The hosts Gwen and Steve were lovely and left you to your own devices but there if needed. The village’s shop had everything you need e.g from sun cream to dog food there’s also a tearoom and the Anchor hotel for food with friendly staff and St Cyrus beach is stunning and only a ten minute drive away. Will definitely be going back I highly recommend it Thanks Gwen and Steve for our lovely peaceful holiday just what we needed

Great views, very clean and well equipped
Great location right at the sea, fab views from upper bedrooms and living room could sit and watch the seabirds for hours!Also spotted seals and dolphins. Very clean and comfortable and well equipped with self catering essentials. Enjoyed a coastal walk along to Inverbervie and a couple of local beer gardens. Great change of scenery post lockdown thanks!

Fantastic Base
Fantastic stay at the seashore house, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing base from which to explore the East coast look no further. To the south is the breathtaking beach of St Cyrus, a short drive away, the small town of Inverbervie to the north as well as Stonehaven where you can visit Donattar Castle etc, not to mention other surrounding wee towns of montrose, forfar, brechin, banchory and Aberdeen itself all within easy driving distance. The property itself is big and can cater easily for all your needs and the beds are really comfy for a good nights sleep. Was a quiet stay away with plenty to see around about, just what we wanted. There is also a football pitch and recreational facilities behind the property. You can start a coastal walk from outside your doorstep. Local owners, Gwen and Steve are also very friendly and your left to your own devices from the off. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet get away from it all stay.

Tranquil setting with amazing views
Had a lovely weeks stay with my two sons aged 13 and 17. Outstanding sea view from all bedrooms and lounge. Very quiet and relaxing village. Local pub the anchor Inn was fantastic for food and service. Well located for visiting Cairngorms and the Newburgh seal beach.

Happy Holiday in Johnshaven
We really enjoyed our stay in Seashore House which was well equipped and comfortable for our party of 5. We had been expecting some DVDs, games and information about local walks etc but due to the corona virus we understood why there was nothing like this at the property. With the fantastic beaches nearby a bucket and spade would have been good and notification that we should bring these items with us.

Great break by the sea
Just returned from a great break at Sea Shore House. Easy booking and check in process . House was very clean and had been sanitised and cleaned in line with Covid guidance. Very well equipped house and the views to the sea were fabulous both on the sunny and stormy days . Johnshaven is a lovely little place and I recommend a meal in The Anchor Inn . Thank you for having us Steve and Gwen and I would certainly love to stay again at some point .

Seashore Gem
Just excellent, beautiful and very well equipped. This holiday home caters for every single need you could imagine. Beautiful views of the sea, lovely little village with a shop and the Anchor Hotel which does beautiful food and is very dog friendly. One thing for sure if you come in the winter months you will never be cold in this home, we were very cosy!!! The house is immaculate, 2 large bedrooms upstairs (very comfy we had great night sleeps)with en-suites looking over the seashore and a single bedroom on the ground floor with large bathroom/wet room directly across the hallway, all with fitted wardrobes and a safe. The living room/dining room and kitchen are all in one and every utensil you could imagine. There is plenty of storage space also a large walk in cupboard in the hallway. I would highly recommend this home to anyone thinking of staying up this way, you won't be disappointed, we certainly weren't. Thanks to Gwen and Steve for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home XX

Dream holiday
We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday in Stephen and Gwen"s house on the beach. The views are fantastic, the house very comfortable and perfect for 6 people with its 3 Bathrooms and a big kitchen and living room. Stephen and Gwen are the perfect hosts, always helpful, but very respectful for the privacy of their guests. Johnshaven is a beautiful village with a friendly community, a shop, pubs and you even can by lobster nearby. We can only recommend Beach house and will be back as soon as we can. My wife and I and the dog had a great stay at seashore house there was everything in the house that you would need the rooms were lovely with en-suite bathrooms and Stephen and his wife were very welcoming and we would definitely go back for another stay.

Lovely location. Super host. Brilliant house.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. All of us loved it. It is such a nice and quiet village and so close to sport grounds and kids playground. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful. Always ready to help. We recommend this house and location for your next holidays.

Schönes Haus in einer atemberaubenden Landschaft
Das Haus ist mit einer vollständige Küche eingerichtet, sowie mit einem Wohn/Essbereich, drei Zimmern mit jeweils einem Bad. Von der Lage her liegt das Haus etwa 30-40 Minuten südlich von Aberdeen an der Ostküste in der Region aberdeenshire. Der Ort ist ein kleines Fischerdorf, in dem man die Ruhe total genießen kann. Zu empfehlen ist der Besuch des Hotels Anchor. Dort kann man phantastisch essen. Wir würden das Haus in jedem Fall nochmal mieten. Es hat alles an Bord, was man für einen Urlaub in Schottland benötigt. Und wer die Ruhe und das Meer genießen will, ist hier erst recht richtig.

Absolut tolle Lage direkt am Meer. Haus bietet alles was man braucht. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.
Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Einschlafen und aufwachen mit dem Sound des Meeres in den Ohren. Herrlich!!!Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Toller Spielplatz direkt in der nächsten Umgebung (4 Gehminuten). Hatten tolle 7 Tage verbracht. Unbedingt das Rest. Anchor besuchen! Die Muscheln waren der Hammer.

A place to chillax
Seashore House is a lovely cottage with great views of the coastal waters from each bedroom. The cottage was clean and a good location foe walks along the coast. Unfortunately, the wifi network needs improving. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind this is the place for you.

The house was beautiful and very clean everything that we needed was there.
We had a lovely stay Stephen and Gwen where very helpful we took my elderly mother with us and they offered equipment to help her in the shower. Above and beyond helpful. We defiantly will Stay here again x

Lovely relaxing holiday
We stayed at Seashore House at the end of August and had a great time. The house was just what we were looking for, well-equipped with a nice living area and spacious bedrooms for everyone. We were looking for a relaxing week which is exactly what we got. Lots of walks, trips to the pub and a couple of takeaways as a treat! Also, I loved going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the waves!

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus
Die vorherigen Beschreibungen haben nicht untertrieben. Das Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man zur Erholung braucht. Gwen und Steve sind hervorragende Gastgeber, welche bei Fragen gern geholfen haben. Es war schön, sie kennengelernt zu haben. Vom Haus aus konnten wir auch Delphine beobachten. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass ein Sofa etwas durchgesessen war. Wir würden dass Haus jederzeit wieder mieten.

Schönes Haus mit einer tollen Lage
Das Ferienhaus war bei unserer Ankunft sehr sauber und hatte alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Die Lage war einfach super. Die Vermieter wohnen direkt nebenan und haben alles sehr gut vorbereitet. Bei Fragen waren sie immer für einen da. Für einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen.
