“The host was friendly helpful and I had an enjoyable stay. Welsh breakfast was delicious and of high quality. Bedroom is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit away from the castle but 10 mins walk from pubs and restaurants so it is quiet at night. Host was helpful in trying to get me a taxi for Sunday which was a bit of a chaos. If I pass by there that would be the place I stay.”

Friendly staff, nice brekkie & recommended if you are visiting the area & don’t want to be in the middle of it all but still easily accessible if you want to go into either place. Very nice!”

“The staff without exception were excellent. They were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The cooked breakfast was good on both mornings. The internal appearance of the restaurant, breakfast room and lounge was very pleasing. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay. Bed linen and towels were immaculate. Negatives. Hotel supplied winter duvets which were much too warm for June. Both nights were therefore uncomfortably wam. We stayed a Sunday and Monday night and the restaurant……

“My single room was appalling. Wallpaper peeling off the wall. Windows were so high up, I couldn't see out. Very shabby. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice and hot.”

They went out of their way to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was comfortable and the whole experience felt relaxed and well-organized. We really appreciated the warm hospitality and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!”

“I liked that it was a very quaint, pretty little cottage in a very good location - within walking distance of the town centre but not too close for it to be noisy. The passing traffic in the morning can be quite noisy at times but nothing terrible at all. The lady who owns the property has obviously put a lot of thought into little extras and items you might find useful when staying away from home, which were greatly appreciated. We were made to feel very welcome and the cottage is beautifully……

“Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. ”

“A good stay on a lovely estate. The lidge was adequate for our needs and the dig lived the walks and the exercise field. Bedrooms were great and the beds very comfortable. Note. There is no washing machine and the on site pub isnt trading. ”

“Firstly, the chalet was very difficult to find. The host only gave us the instruction to check the map outside reception. After having to find a member of bar staff (as reception had closed by the time of our arrival), we were told this map had long been removed. Secondly, the chalet had a mould issue. The cabin had a foul odour throughout of damp. There was mould on the curtains and around fixtures and fittings. Thirdly, the shower did not drain quickly. By the end of your shower, you were up……
