Courtyard By Marriott Nanaimo

"We’ve stayed at quite a few Marriott properties over the years because of their consistently friendly staff, well-maintained hotels and great locations. The Courtyard by Marriott in Nanaimo continues to be one of our favourites and has become our go-to whenever we’re in the area. The staff are always welcoming, the property is clean and well cared for, and the location makes it easy to get wherever you need to go. Every stay has been comfortable and reliable, which is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Marriott."

Inn On Long Lake

10/10 Excellent

"We come here every year to visit my wife's sister who lives nearby. We are older folks from Victoria so we get the one bedroom suite, for comfort since we are here for several days to a week. Been here twice in the past 2 months. We are seasonned travellers. PROS: Lake view is terrific, we move the dining table in front of the window so we can look at the view when using it. The king bed is comfortable, the bathroom large and the shower large, the suite large, small kitchenette. Parking is fine. The grounds are nice, it all depends if you are new to the West Coast, we are not new here. The suite overall comfortable and reasonably priced. Good location, safe area. Close to shopping, grocery and Malls, but drive only. Not walkable. CONS: Few facilities. Breakfast is limited continental, we never use it. Not enough end tables in the living room, only one for 2 large couches, few lamps, not enough lights, quite dark at best of times. Biggest issue is no hooks in bathroom on walls or back of door for bathrobes or clothes/towels, how much can that cost? Another issue, no drink or snack machine in the lobby...they do sell a couple of snacks and a couple warm cans of pop....from what we observed. Did not ask if they have cold pop. It is an older property but in good shape. Staff is nice."
