“The room was beautiful, facing the pacific ocean with wonderful sunset views. Loved the record player and that we could borrow records from the front desk. The pop up they had on the outdoor patio was so cute, sadly due to a private event we couldn't enjoy it much. The social hour was great and very enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was good as were the cocktails. I wish the valet wasn't so expensive, but we were next to the beach so I guess that is to be expected. All in all I would come……

“I am very angry about this stay. When I checked in, the door and windows were left open, and the room smelled damp and moldy. The curtain had what looked like blood stains, and the bedsheet had mold spots. Since it was already late and I had a full workday the next day, I reluctantly decided to stay. When I picked up the plastic “Do Not Disturb” sign, I found oil on it, which was disgusting. The room had almost no sound insulation. I could clearly hear the TV from the next room and footsteps in……

“We loved our stay at the West Coast Surf Inn. It is an old school motel in the best way. Clean, comfortable, and no nonsense. The bed was genuinely comfortable, the room was well kept, and the shower had great water pressure. They even had great local coffee in the room with the coffee maker, which was a really nice touch. Bonus points for actual Charmin toilet paper, which says more about a place than people realize. It is affordable, honest, and clearly a family-run place by folks who actually……
