What a great location! Quiet and yet close to Frenchman Street where the evening art bazaar and music clubs are hopping and fun! The staff were so nice and helpful and the space was clean and beautiful. Beds were comfortable and the quiet and peaceful environment was a helpful retreat from the fun!

The hotel was very nice. Emily was wonderful checking us in and giving recommendations. Nice basic breakfast. There is an over night security guard which is a bonus for safety, as well as needing a fob to enter the front door. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because our room was located across the street from a bar and it was noisy at night. Also our bed faced a beautiful stained glass window but the hall light showed through it and I prefer total darkness. The location was great to walk to hear music on Frenchman street. I would recommend staying here due to lovely staff, good location, and nice rooms but bring ear plugs and eye mask.

If you are looking for an old New Orleans feel in a place to stay, Melrose is a good place to stay at. The high ceilings and the old hardwood floor had a charm to it.

Staff was EXCELLENT! Received an upgraded suite, and the room was very comfortable for our weeklong stay. The location was great. Only a few minutes to the heart of the French quarter, but far enough away to some peace. Buffa’s next door served as the “hotel bar” for us, and it was excellent! I would certainly stay again!

The staff were lovely and i appreciated my upgrade very much. I mean it to be constructive when I note that the coffee and tea spread in the room was terrible; it's so easy to get this right these days that it's notable when it's just basic. The room is so inherently pretty, it just would have benefited from flowers and fruit and an interior designer's touch. The couch cover was just kinda ghetto. Call me if you want an interior design makeover, I lvoe your hotel and want it to shine when i come back! And again, all the staff were so so sweet.
