「The Hideout was everything we needed it to be - quiet, comfortable, clean, and nurturing. The property's well water was delicious and the surrounding neighborhood couldn't be more beautiful. Great location, less than 10 minutes to town, trees, beach... My son was especially delighted by the host's flock of chickens and ducks. Thank you!」

「Second stay for us-always peaceful and love the sound of the waves. The weather was a bit uncooperative, lots of wind, so did not get to spend time on the porch which we like but good relaxation time.」

「My sister and I had a couple of days of much-needed rest and relaxation at the Whale Watch Inn. Everything inside our studio room was beautifully clean and in good repair. Outdoors, the property is not formally landscaped and groomed, which produces a friendly, casual atmosphere. The ocean view is delightful! I would definitely return.」

「Excellent views and location. It was larger than expected based on the photos. Ideally situated in Mendocino. The whole town is walkable from here. A short walk to the steps (behind the church) to the beach. Excellent restaurants nearby (Trillium! GoodLife!). Walking distance to the grocery store and health food store. Short drive to beautiful hikes (Russian Gulch State Park) and kayaking. Highly recommend.」

「I could see the Pacific Ocean while lying in bed! Spectacular views of the giant rocks and the seas. Very roomy place—separate bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Clean & quiet. Nice washer/dryer. Great hiking in the Redwoods state and national parks. Good walking on the beaches too. Good communication with the property manager.」

After a long day of travel, it was exactly what we needed. As a thoughtful gesture, she even sent me home with some flowers. We would absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.」
