“This was our first share the kitchen stay. It was perfect. Great hosts, lovely hot tub, lots of private space, spotless house. All in a private quiet neighborhood with a walking, biking trail right our the front door. Host have thought of everything: grocery bags for shopping, laundry bag, desk, comfy couch and great TV and so friendly.”

“I am exceptionally glad we picked this spot for our visit to Vancouver. Our host made our stay perfect. She is kind and generous. Lots of advice about local restaurants was given. She shared her paddle boards with us so we didnt need to rent them. Totally unexpected and very appreciated! From the moment we arrived it was very clear our host hoped for us to have a great time. “A beautiful place My arrival in the city was something of a crash-landing, until I arrived here, then I had everything I needed to start putting my life back together. The hosts are charming, the property is an impeccable wilderness garden, the unit is spacious, well lit, and well equipped. The area is safe and parking is close by, and access to amenities and services is a short drive away. My second stay is already booked.”

Very close to shopping and walking trails. The front bedroom was a little noisy with traffic but the rest of the home was very quiet. Overall a wonderful space and we would come back again if in the area.”

“Loved this suite. Was absolutely beautiful - the most beautiful and clean suite I have stayed in! It had everything I could have needed and then some! The bed was DIVINE. I didn't want to get up :) Loved the privacy. Frances was lovely to communicate with. Very pleasant and helpful. The area is perfect. Easy parking. I just adored the trees surrounding the property. Yes, I would rate it a perfect 12/10! Thank you! Elyse ”

“My girlfriend & I wanted a nice cozy place to rent together to enjoy our anniversary, Pat’s place was perfect! You’ll love it even more in person than in the photos. He was a super helpful host checking in on us and always answering when needed. I’d definitely stay here again! Thanks Pat! We loved it !!”

“The instructions about where to park and how to access the space were not clear at all. We figured it out on our own but it felt awkward, it felt like we were breaking and entering. The stairs were physically challenging to go up and down with suitcases. My son fell once (luckily was not hurt) The space was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. There was dirt and debris everywhere, spider webs in the corners of the rooms etc. The sink was dirty and the frying pan was put away dirty as well so……

“The house was comfortable and conveniently located for our purposes. It is well maintained for an older home. While the kitchen was adequate for us, I can't imagine trying to cook for 10 people in there. The notebook/instruction guide needs to be updated. Guests with mobility issues should be aware of the steep stairs and the low beds. The hosts were quite helpful when we had questions and were very quick to reply.”

“Do not stay here! It is in a basement without smoke detectors or egress windows. One room didn’t even have a window. The smell is terrible and did not get better despite opening the door and running a fan. The owners were great at communicating but the place didn’t even have soap, shampoo, tea or any pantry basics. I killed 8 spiders. You can hear the people and their dog above. It feels like a dank, dark basement.”

“Very accommodation hosts who went out of their way to help after cancelations where made too hastily. Made this property available at short notice and despite additional difficulties at check out, also caused by me, were always professional and helpful. Alex and Lynn, I apologise for the poor communication and lack of better planning. Thank you for your help and patience.”

“It was a fine place to stay that was close to Vancouver without actually being in the city. The location wasn’t particularly walkable, but there were a few things nearby worth going to. The bed was not comfy AT ALL! Unless you like an extra firm bed, bring extra blankets, or pillows, or something, to help cushion it. The few days we were there made me incredibly happy to come home to my own bed. It wasn’t quite as spacious as the ad had led on, but it got the job done. It was a decently priced……

“We spent 3 nights at Howie’s Retreat. He is a marvellous host. Warm, welcoming and personable. The unit itself is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is not a single thing that Howie has not provided for your comfort. If it isn’t there, you don’t need it. If anything isn’t right, he will go out of his way to fix it in a timely manner. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely too. A real home away from home. A perfect little nest for when you are not out exploring the area. Great……
