  • Situated in the heart of one of Norfolk’s beautiful estates, this stylish and comfortable cottage offers a luxurious break for families or friends. Built in around 1460, Mannington Hall is directly opposite the cottage with the grounds and woodlands of the estate open to guests and the general public to explore. The thriving market town of Aylsham is also just over 5 miles away and offer an excellent selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. As well as this Blickling Hall, part of the National Trust is a great family day out with wonderful walks as well as the chance to explore the hall itself. The Norfolk Coastal towns of Sheringham and Cromer are also only 9 miles away, both with glorious sandy beaches as well as those classic seaside amusements and arcades providing something for everyone.


    As you turn into the estate and come down the driveway past Mannington Hall, you quickly realise this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Stepping into the property you enter a large entrance area with a utility room just off to the right. Turning left you will find a shower room just on your left-hand side and beyond this the living area. With comfortable sofas positioned in front of the wood burner, and windows facing out onto the hall, this is ideal place to kick your feet up. From the living room the cottage then leads on into the kitchen dining space providing all you could wish for, allowing guests to rustle up some home cooked comforts. Heading upstairs, guests will find another family style bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Opposite the bathroom is the double bedroom, heading down the hallway there is another bedroom with zip and link beds so can be made up as either a super king bed or a twin bedroom and at the very end of the hallway there is the third bedroom with bunk beds, ideal for children.


    Immediately outside the rear of the property, guests have there very own private courtyard style garden complete with outdoor seating. Guests also have unrestricted access to the grounds of the estate with glorious gardens and wonderful walks through the woodlands. Guests do need to be aware however the estate is open to the public.
