“The only thing I would do, is figure out how to put a dehumidifier in the rooms. They were very moist & our bedding was very moist. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast bar.”

“Nikki and Sean were very hospitable, friendly and a pleasure to be with. The house had a lot of charm and the rooms were very comfortable and well kept. They had bikes for us to ride which both my wife and I enjoyed. Breakfast each morning was delicious and there was always coffee available. They also have ample parking. I would highly recommend staying here. We will be back in the near future.”

“During my 3 days stay I was unfortunately faced with MANY issues. This place deserves to be shut down. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a front desk clerk that seemed nice and friendly. As we got to our room, it was a decent hour around 4 pm or so. I was greeted with a room that had a foul stench that smell almost reminiscent of underarms and perfume. I tried to not be to picky as that seemed to be the extent of the issues and otherwise seems clean. I went to the balcony to enjoy my view for a……

“Great location on the river”

“Not a great experience- we will not return. Location of property not where we expected- would select a room located in town with walking distance to shops and sites next time. Access to property difficult. Climate control of overall property hallways and room had a damp feel in the air. King bed was lumpy. Toilet ran extremely slowly after a flush and was basically non-functioning - ick. Use of first floor public restroom as a back up was equally disappointing as that area was filthy - no one……

“Pleasant unit and complex. Nice walk around lake. Rec center pool enjoyable Minor and moderate problems. 1of 2 major windows opaque Took a day to get sink disposal repaired. 2 of 4 days no WiFi. No coffee filters nor salt and pepper. Jetted tub could not be filled above jets with hot water -ran out”

“Everything is perfect. The location, the staff, the food, and the house itself. Definitely will stay there again if we go to New Bern again.”

“This property was a delightful place to stay. I have rated as 5-star across the board. The only detraction was that the majority of the house is on a single thermostat, thus you cannot control the temperature in your room and our room was cooler than we would have preferred. We were told that if we were to stay here again, ask about the one or two rooms that DO have a separate thermostat.”

“Great facility, great Italian restaurant 2 doors down. Lots of history on display in the B&B. Breakfasts ranged from good to great, all fresh-made on site. Coffee and soft drinks gratis on first floor.”
