「Second time staying here. Always a treat!」

「Starting with the staff, what a wonderful person checking us in. She was smart, friendly, and remembered us from our last visit. Check in was fast, and we where given a wifi password. She explained the new breakfast time and service. They make everything to order now. The room was as always, clean and the heater was turned on so the room was cozy. As an early riser, the loby had fresh hot coffee and tea available. The friendly staff member offered an early breakfast if i wanted it now. Great...

「The landscape after the window is opened is beautiful like a painting, you can see the train, bridge, snow, mountains, and boats. The pool is great and the hot pool is nice. The downside is that you can hear footsteps from upstairs on the lower floors.」

「As always, my stay was fantastic! The staff at this hotel are tops, imo. Keep in mind, fellow travelers, this is a fully restored historic hotel and the water in the showers and/or sinks may at times run very hot or very cold but it certainly doesn’t detract from the charm. Take staff advice for dining and activity suggestions. Try doing something or going somewhere new. Enjoy your stay, enjoy the town - both are delightful!」

「Staff was accommodating and room was clean. I requested to extend my stay one more night at a cheaper rate. They were going to have me transfer to a different room to get the low rate. Which was fine. Then they called me back and said she got the manager to allow me to remain in my same room, for better convenience. That made me smile and made my day!!! I wasn’t expecting it and was willing to transfer. So thank you for great customer service.」

「The trails close by are perfct to go on with my kids. They can be kind of steep so be prepared to carry the little ones at times. The kitchen has all the utensils needed to cook. Its a small and cozy lodge with plenty of space for large groups. The Tavern has some really good dining options with friendly staff. 」
