“Steve and Claire are amazing, it was a pleasure staying at The Clifton for 2 nights, perfect location to the pier, seafront, pubs and bars. Rooms very clean and tidy, everything you need. Breakfast was brilliant, very accommodating with food choice changes. Cost was more than reasonable and the far better than expected for the price. Comfy beds, quiet area and we slept brilliantly. Ours hosts were so friendly and provided a welcoming atmosphere, we have family in Paignton and will 100 percent……

You’re really close to the centre, sea and a nice little park/gardens opposite. “Close to beach with parking space, lots of seating with windows for sea views. Comfortable room, good breakfast, friendly staff.”

“We stayed for one night only and the reception was friendly. We bought a plug-in air freshener as the room smelt funky. The single bed was uncomfortable. Very noisy at night due to karaoke - but this was the summer in Paignton so I guess it’s normal. Hotel is near the main strip so very convenient. ”

The decor is a mishmash of themes with some questionable colour choices and looking a bit rough round the edges. However finding a hotel that accommodates dogs is fantastic and location is great. Staff are friendly and you can tell thy work hard. ”
