“What a magical spot nestled in Playa Avellanas! We loved our time at Cabinas Las Olas - the rooms are great - clean and super comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely gorgeous and we loved the rustic boardwalk which led to the most stunning beach. The food was absolutely delicious and everything felt super safe and clean. “This is one of those hotels that you almost don't want to talk about for fear of it becoming too popular. The owners are very friendly and it feels like being a guest in a private home with staff to take care of everything for you.”

“I spent two days here and it was unlike any other lodge/hotel I’ve been to before. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is stunning, the jungle gym is also such an amazing addition but nothing tops the the host himself, he made sure every question was answered and I truly felt at home almost 4000 km from Canada. “I was greeted with great communication from the staff as soon as i landed in LIB airport. They allowed an early check-in. The room was really clean, the bathroom was new, great water preasure, and the bed was outstanding. I was there for golf and usually concerned about mattresses not being firm enough. All the beds there are brand new and remarkably firm. The bar searve amazing old fashions, mai tai, and top notch tequilas. The staff there made my experience one of the best. I'm afraid……

“The room was very nice and clean; staff were helpful as well. The owner actually helped troubleshoot my electric stove from Prague over video chat, that was cool of him to do that. This was a great stay. However, it felt like a couple's retreat and as a solo traveler it was A. Tad discouraging at times as I was there for 8 days; though perhaps a lack of research on my part. That aside, this place was pretty awesome and close to a local well-pressed grocery store. I would definitely stay here……

“The room was spacious for a family of 4 adults. There was a separate room for each bed, which was nice. The common area was great so we could leave our suitcase there. The hotel is right in the centre of the town, so it's very walkable to lots of dining options and the beach. At night, it was quiet around and safe. We rented a car so it was great that there was parking on premise. The staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for groups!”

“The drive in does this place no justice. Once reaching the hotel it is absolutely beautiful, overlooking Tamarindo and the ocean. The infinity views are unbelievable as are the suites. There is an airbnb feel to it because of how private the suites are, feels like a retreat or a private getaway, and the staff is ready to serve at every opportunity. Carlos was awesome, he gave us a seamless check in experience and the dinner was delicious! Hard to say what the best part of this stay was but……
