After the person we found made a call to find out where our room key was, we had to drive back to the gate house to pick them up. Our room was changed to a king, which was fine. However, there was a space heater going when we arrived and it had to stay on overnight due to being cold in the room. The water in the shower never heated up past luke warm. 「We had a very enjoyable stay at this property. The house has plenty of room and was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was awesome and well stocked. The views off the back deck were amazing! Misty mountains in the mornings and beautiful sunsets in the evenings. We did a couple of great hikes in the Pisgah National Forest and walked the new Ecusta Trail also. 「Beautiful, peaceful setting away from it all. Great for golfers & equestrians. Has a nice restaurant & bar on the premises (not open every day). Very good food and nice view overlooking the pond. About 1/2 hour drive from Lake Lure, Chimney Rock & Tryon. Friendly, helpful staff!」
