“This rental was the perfect starting point for some hiking I wanted to do in the area. Mt Rogers (tallest peak in Va) is close by, as are The Channels, which was my focus for this trip. This place can easily host 3-4 people, maybe even 5 if one wants to sleep on the couch. The beds were the best feature, super comfortable, best sleep of my life. You do have to climb up ladders to get to them, they're loft style, but I'd crawl over broken glass to get back to them. There is a sink, a mini fridge……

“The house was very well decorated and very clean. We traveled to be with my Grandparents for Thanksgiving Holiday. They live on the Blue Ridge Parkway so this country location was a close drive to their home. It had been years since we had seen them, so we had a good family reunion with the group.”

“The home was just the right size and very homey. It was convenient to get to shopping and going to the areas we wanted to check out, like Blue Ridge Parkway and the Skyline and also checked out the Apple House. Just some day trips. We also went to Mount Airy "Mayberry", which was fun. ”

“This was a trip to spend a bit of time with my two adult kiddos before the craziness of the rest of the school year ensues and they both graduate in May. The yurt was perfect, and we basically just hung out playing games and cooking food while we were there. My granddog loved sniffing around thr outdoors, and the kids enjoyed the hot tub. My only insight is that the first set of steps coming up from the parking area may be a bit hazardous for those with any sort of mobility limitations, and……

“Second stay at this lovely location. We were able to experience more outside activity this year as we brought our son (14) and our daughter (22) stopped by. Plenty of room to run and play.We will definitely come again next year for our AnniverSCARY (10/31). Thank you to the owner for the updated heat source and unique experience!”

“Really enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage on Claytor Lake. It was very well equipped with everything you could need. The town was really close and Thee Draper Village was enjoyable. Make sure to visit Spinning Jenny Vineyard for the tasty wine and beautiful views. This was a girls trip but I will definitely plan another with the family. The host responded quickly to all my questions.”
