Good location in a beautiful old building. Lovely corridors and courtyard. We stayed in a family room. It was very spacious and comfortable. Strong AC and hot shower. Breakfast was superb and the welcome drink and afternoon snack were great touches. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Elevator was helpful for taking luggage up.

The hotel's location might be good, but I wasn't satisfied with some of the services. For example, the elevators were so slow that I waited 15 minutes for one to arrive. Also, the pool water was cold, and I couldn't enjoy swimming. My room wasn't cleaned despite my having a cleaning card. I asked for slippers, and three times they brought me a toothbrush; there seems to be a communication problem.

Once again our stay was very enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant are so friendly and assist in any way possible. The pool attendant was exceptional, bringing our towels down personally and setting them out for us.
Everything is well maintained and our room overlooked the Straits of Malacca.
We shall return.
