En la habitación 2417, a menudo escucho el sonido del limpiador de al lado moviendo sillas y camas por la mañana. El sonido es muy fuerte y el piso no está insonorizado, lo que me despierta. Además, el limpiador no lee el Señal de perturbación que pongo en la habitación y entra directamente, es muy ruidosa, nos despierta de nuestros dulces sueños. Los hoteles deben capacitar al personal de limpieza para que sean cuidadosos con las sillas y las camas, no las arrastren violentamente y presten atención a las señales de no molestar colocadas por los huéspedes.

The front desk management was rude, woefully inept and threatening. Specifically Felix Martin who should never be in a position of authority or a representative for the Majestic Elegance. We have been coming to the Majestic for 8+ years now. My last stay was in Dec. for 17 days following our stay in June for 19 days. We requested a room we have stayed in many times before and were told that it was booked but would be avaiable in about a week. We were then told thar we could have the room for an additional $2600. When we declined, Marta indicated that we could have it for an additional $1400. We then understood we were being extorted. This room changed guests 3 times during our stay alone. Having spoken to many guest the conclusion was that Elegance was overbooking certain rooms amd downgrading guests. Clearly, Majestic Elegance has lost its way. We've stayed at the Mirage but preferred the Elegance due to the friends we have made. Service staff is wonderful and did there best to make up for the aweful treatment we received from upper management. What a shame that this property is deteriorating from the top down. Rooms are run down and out dated. Bali Beds be were full of black mold. Our plan was to have our renewal vows with our family joining us at the Majestic this year. The silver lining is that we found out that is no longer an option. Prior to Majestic we frequented the Melia for 7 yrs. Many other hotels and many other destinations. We'll miss our friends.

This property does not meet the expectations of a five-star resort, when compared with similarly rated resorts elsewhere in the Caribbean. Consistently polished, proactive service is a defining feature of that category, yet here it appeared limited to a small minority of staff, roughly 20 percent, who genuinely went above and beyond. While the local culture is warm and informal, the resort did little to translate that into a cohesive or elevated guest experience. The room disappointed and felt closer to a mid-tier, family-oriented waterpark resort than a luxury property. The layout offers little privacy, with the room and frosted-glass bathroom visible to passersby, and a door that does not reliably close on its own. Maintenance issues were evident throughout our stay. Towel racks were deteriorating, the air conditioning was inconsistent, Wi-Fi was unreliable, and we experienced a power outage. Bathroom floors showed visible discoloration, reinforcing a sense of wear and poor upkeep. Expedia required several days and repeated follow-up before ultimately offering partial compensation for the experience. There were positives. The beach and weather were excellent, with beautiful sunrises. Evening entertainment was generally strong, especially the circus performance. The lobby and foyer were tastefully decorated for the season, and dessert offerings in the cafés were consistently excellent. While we were eventually able to relax into our day or two, we won't likely return.

Beginning with the first day when there was confusion about which room we were in. Next was the slow or no service where we had to call repeatedly for help. The room was not cleaned in a timely manner. The restocked bar went unstocked 2 days. We ordered room service and the dishes were not taken for 2 days. There was no hot water the first two days. In all of our travels, my wife has never been happy to leave a place…until now. We won’t be back!

The hotel was very dated. The food wasn’t the greatest. The pool was cold and the entertainment satisfactory. The rooms were filthy and check in was a joke when we arrived!
