“Our stay here was twofold. One: quality time together and Two: a tryout for the young dogs in a boarding kennel not far away. The last night the dogs stayed with us. The bach was awesome. Very well laid out and complete. If anything, we couldn’t find any ice cube trays so our G&T was a bit make do. For the rest just great. Hear the moreporks at night, swim in the river at Pots Reserve. Best kept secret: Kuku Beach. Don’t go there folks to keep it a secret 😁”

“As ever, my stay at this amazing cabin did not disappoint, from the attention to detail in the cleanliness, to the filled wood basket and already laid fire, which was even more appreciated as it was full on raining. The view never tires, nor does having a bath outside in the rain, listening to a thunderstorm. Rain, sun, storms and clouds don’t make a difference when you have a few nights here to unwind, relax, retune to yourself and just ‘be’. Going to book before they close for winter.”

“We stayed here for a wedding across the state Highway at The Milk Station. It was amazing. Fire wood was provided and fully stocked which heated the main areas so well. There was extra bedding, 3 bedrooms, heaps of space in-doors and out-doors, and toys for my 6 month old and my nephew and nieces to visit. Traveling with a little one can be stressful but staying here took away some of that pressure as they had a portacot, cutlery, toys, a washing machine and all the essentials. It was a home……

“This is an exceptional property set in a beautiful rural location with exquisite views over landscaped gardens. It is so peaceful that you feel as though you’re miles from anywhere when you’re actually only 2km (a lovely walk!) from the town boundary. The cottage is incredibly well set up with everything you might need and Shona and Tony are fantastic hosts - friendly and helpful, and on hand if you need anything. “We had a nice stay at this property - the spa, feijoa trees and fireplace were awesome! The beds and rest of the house were comfortable. Place is 10mins walk to the beach which was lovely. The only negative is that the lounge doesn’t get much sun or natural light, but the fireplace made it warm enough. We also had issues when leaving the place not realising that the cleaning fee we paid only covers laundry of linen. This wasn’t mentioned on the website at the time of booking so something to be……

“Only negative which didn't affect us was that the storage of kitchen items was very high. A short person would need a ladder or stool to get cups and cutlery off the shelf. Also the clothes hooks in the bathroom are high off the floor. Otherwise we found it a very pleasant accommodation. ”
