「I’ve never stayed in such filthy conditions in my life. The walls and linens looked like literal crime scenes. Even the most basic swipes at cleaning have been ignored for so many years that there would be no reason to complain. Staff was nice but it was very difficult to get a 3rd and 4th towel (despite me checking in 4 people). i had to go to the office twice and beg. That said it was cheap-cheap so I guess I got what I paid for. A good value if you want a comfy-ish bed, an oversized tv, and...

「The property was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful, but I asked for a Mountain View room and was given a wheelchair accessible room, and there was so much noise above me that it felt like they were doing construction or there was a gym upstairs. This was a little upsetting because I had a long bike ride in the morning and that was the reason why I stayed there」

「Paid for a king suite with a whirlpool tub. No tub. Ila at desk very rude and said she couldn’t do anything about it because we booked through Expedia. Also charged more than the advertised rate for a pet. Hot tub was warm not hot. Pool and hot tub area not clean. Would not come there again」

「Main lobby has dark/ un-inviting areas which dosnt make a good impression, but the room was good! I always use a uv light to check the sheets when I stay at any hotel and this place passed my inspection. Id stay here again if I can get a good deal. 」

「The staff was very nice! The location is perfect for Lake Lure - it’s perfect for being by Lake Lure Beach. The parking is easy. It is an older historic hotel - tiny showers, thin walls, and it is looking a little weathered.」

「Great location! Was greeted by the owner who was very nice. Great coffee in rooms and a very nice hot shower. Everything was clean. Would use this place again!」

「The sink was slow draining. The shower was too hot and when you tried to adjust it by turning it towards the cold, the water just trickled out and it was still too hot! The floor was so dirty my feet were black and had to be washed from walking across it. The staff was nice. The breakfast was fine: waffles, frozen Jimmy Dean egg sausage, cheese croissants, cereal, toast, bagels. 」

「Everything was perfect, no need for complaints but if I must leave a negative remark, it would be the walls are thin so maybe bring a sound machine or something to help if you are a light sleeper. I would definitely return」

「Room was clean, but we found a hair in the bed, so could be a little cleaner. Bathroom was spotless and beautiful! Terry, the woman at the front, was wonderful to talk to and very understanding to us getting in late on check in. We ended up checking out a little late and they had no problem with it too. Overall, a great stay and will be comjng back in the summer! 」
