"When we arrived, we were told the pool was closed for maintenance. As this was the main priority for us, we chose to go elsewhere-before even checking in. After I left and checked in elsewhere, I was contacted by the staff at the Fairmont. I informed that I have to pay for a room anyways, because I didn’t cancel 48 hours in advance. When I mentioned the pool not being available, I was told it was on their website and my responsibility to know this. First of all, I booked through Hotels.com so I didn’t go to their actual website. Second, out of curiosity, I checked out their website. It did not mention that the pool was in fact closed. After I left, this hotel attempted to take the unauthorized charge from my credit card ** 7 times **. From the start, the front desk staff was not friendly and the phone calls, after I left, were very rude. As I said, the pool was the main priority for me when choosing a hotel for this night. I was travelling with children! Because of this experience, I am not likely to stay at this hotel in the future. "
