We love the massive living room and board games downstairs and the bedrooms were lovely size. 「Fantastic spot. The rooms are modern, clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Felt like a modern hotel and not a classic inn. Staff seemed a little grumpy, maybe the heat! Rooms have AC which was great. They offer Bristol airport parking fee and you can taxi to the airport so it's a great spot if you're flying in and out of Bristol. We used it as a halfway point from Cornwall to midlands. Just 7 mins to cheddar gorge. Highly recommend.」

The down side was the food, the kitchen had strange ideas on a poached egg.The yolk on the eggs in the Eggs Royal l ordered were hard boiled, separate from the white and spherical as if it had been cooked in a melon baller. 「A very nice hotel, the rooms at the rear of the hotel were former farm buildings which have been completely renovated. There is a wet room ensuite which is well appointed. The restaurant has a good choice of food which is excellently cooked and presented. The breakfast menu which has to be ordered the evening before was slightly confusing until I worked out that the price stays the same and you just tick your personal choices. Well sited and only 6 minutes from the Bristol Airport Silver Zone...
