“There were two restaurants near one Greek and one Latin American we tried the latter and it was good, the Greek one was closed Monday. Staff were welcoming, small family run hotel so personal. Nice bar area. Breakfast was included (continental) but they did offer boiled eggs or bacon bap or sausage bap in the morning.”

“A lovely little hotel a couple of minutes walk away from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the theatre and restaurants. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable … quite a small bathroom but fine for a night’s stay. It was quite warm in the room and we couldn’t open one of the windows as the latch was broken. To be fair I don’t think the staff were aware of the problem until we mentioned it. A fan had already been provided in the room. But really we……

“Heerlijk verbleven daar tijdens ons 4dgs bezoek aan FOS Goodwood. Fijne mensen die het runnen. Parkeren deden we in de omgeving en was af en toe een uitdaging een plekkie te vinden, maar met vergunning wel gratis. Ondanks warme weer, zonder airco, met fan prima koel op onze kamer.”

“Great stay and really friendly and helpful manager Mubi makes guests feel most welcome. Loved the decor in the room I stayed in and the convenience for food options and the peace and quiet are invaluable. Firmly recommend!”

“The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed.”

“The hotel is not inspiring on the outside but is well situated for trains, buses and travel to the Isle of Wight. It has the feel of a run-down hotel which is in the process of being up-graded by the present owners. My room had comfortable beds and a newly fitted bathroom but the windows could only be opened a small way as they were blocked by a fire escape staircase immediately outside. The air conditioning unit had seen better days but there was also a fan. Breakfast in the handsome……

“Basically I booked this for its location and price. Was very grateful to find we had been upgraded to a family room in the basement. Sadly though other residents weren’t as thoughtful and kept us awake till nearly 3 in the morning, slamming doors and talking loudly outside our window and in hallway. Also room was stiflingly hot. There was a fan but it didn’t reduce heat. Can’t fault how polite and helpful staff were with booking.”

“Das Hotel hat wirklich eine gute Lage. Das Personal war nett. Aber der Zustand der Zimmer ist wirklich schlecht. Sehr in die Jahre gekommen und viel Abnutzung. Leider war es auch nicht wirklich sauber. Über das Frühstück müssen wir erst gar nicht sprechen. Einziger Pluspunkt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.”
