“Facilities are terrible, there is a reason there is no information or pictures detailed on them, beware! THIS IS NOT GLAMPING! There is not a private bathroom as stated, the private element is actually a shack with a compostable toilet for your wagon. The washing facilities consist of 1 cold water tap, shared by the entire site and used for cooking, cleaning, washing, drinking, etc. and the most horrendous shower I've ever seen, essentially a single old portaloo type unit which has a piece of……

“The pod we stayed in was beautifully clean and well maintained. It had lovely little touches like a small milk in the fridge waiting for when you arrived, each bed space had its own towels (including bath towels) so that was a nice touch also. The only thing I would recommend is that the view from the front of the pod isn’t the same on the photos due to new lodges being built so when we got there it was a little disappointing not to have that view and just a little suggestion now new lodges are……

“Lovely property, in a small settlement of varied pods and cabins, arranged to ensure privacy. Great location, close to both Pickering and Thornton le Dale. We are foster carers and needed a break with our very small youngster and the pod suited us perfectly - there was even a song thrush singing to us every evening!”
