"Great location near the train station. Helpful, friendly staff. Room was small but very clean and everything worked. Room 11 had a large skylight instead of a window but didn’t seem claustrophobic to me. Continental breakfast was self-serve with plenty of good things to choose from. (Cooked breakfast was also and option but I didn’t have that). Despite being in a pub building it was quiet. The building is old but well maintained. Good value."

"Wow what a lovely stay we have had at Monas Cottage in Scremeston. The host, Jacqui, kept us informed of times we could access property. She came to the cottage after we arrived to cut the back lawn so we had a lovely chat and she told us to get in touch with her if we had any problems. We did not need to as the cottage was perfect, it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It is in a lovely peaceful area and there is just one row of cottages but is close to main roads for easy access to A1 and into Berwick. We will definitely book this cottage again."

Jacqui gave us all the information we needed and there were no difficulties with the key box."
