Great Cottage!

Beach time with board games

We loved having no schedule. We went to the beach on the first day which was a perfect day. The sun was perfect and we got plenty of sun for the entire vacation. The next day rained and we had plenty of board games along to enjoy. We loved walking to donut shops nearby and plenty of quality affordable restaurants made for affordable meals.

Quiet location and the beach is a short 7 minute walk

It’s hard for these companies to keep homes and cottages stocked to the gills b/c renters are hard on rentals. This place was clean, and had everything you “need” and was close to the beach. And our dog loved her first visit to 30a!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Salty Paws is in a fantastic location. Close to the beach and steps from a very clean kid friendly pool. The beds are comfortable and there were plenty of shower towels. I would give this 5 stars if it weren’t for the cleanliness. The floors leave your socks very dirty, there were dirty dishes in the cabinets and dirty silverware in the drawers. Management did offer to send a cleaning crew out, but I didn’t want to waste what little time I had there staying in the unit while it was cleaned again. Hopefully, I will get the cleaning fee refunded. I would only recommend if there was a guarantee cleaning is done right.

Some Maintenance Issues but Management Is Cooperative

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental is clean and in a good location. We loved the pool. The refrigerator wasn’t working during our stay, which we later learned was known by management but not communicated prior to our stay and purchasing groceries (which we ended up throwing away). Management made things right by promptly compensating for our inconvenience, which was appreciated.

Relaxing Vacay

The stay at Salty Paws was excellent. I have never been so close to a pool in all my years of vacationing. So convenient to the house. The walk to the beach was great. The area was quiet and well lit. The only complaint was the living room furniture is very worn. It needs updated. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked great. I would definitely stay there again!

Description of space. Should indicate all bedrooms are upstairs. If you don't like noise don't stay near the pool. I didn't speak with management.

Great Property!

Decor is adorable. Very clean and neat and up to date. Owner provided garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, and laundry tabs that were helpful not to have to buy. Two chairs, umbrella and wagon also provided to get to the beach. Two bicycles also provided and they were a lifesaver. Pool is right outside door! Bike ride away to Seaside and restaurants. We had a great stay!

They tell you one thing and when the time comes they tell you something different. Two huge bags of dirty laundry was left in the living room floor. I had to call for someone to come pick it up.

DIRTY!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon booking this unit, we paid approximately $400. for cleaning and pet fees. The unit smelled HORRIBLY, and when we opened the door upon arrival, we immediately found it to smell like a dog kennel with an air freshener sprayed to try to mask the repulsive scent! The next morning, we also noticed how filthy this unit was with layers of dog hair covering the moulding and window sills, food still in the sink, counters dirty, pieces of glass found on the floor, dishwasher not working, the floor covered with dirt and sand, and the furniture covered in thick layers of dust! The pans were un-usable with rust covering the bottoms. We tried through numerous conversations to recover these initial deposits, but the management company was less than agreeable and said that we should have reported the problems within two days of our arrival! NOWHERE in their contract did it specify this requirement! We called and sent pictures to them approximately 2 1/2 days after we arrived. This was the last thing that we wanted to spend time doing during our vacation but we documented things and sent a message and pictures to them. They said that we missed their deadline to report matters. After a phone conversation, they also said that because we refused to have someone come in and take care of these matters WHILE we were staying there, we didn't have any recourse! I paid to have this unit clean and ready for us to rent PRIOR to our arrival not DURING our stay! We are VERY UPSET and will never recommend or book from this company! We will also share with all we know not to work with this company! What a waste of $400.00 to stay in a dirty place. Don't let the pictures fool you! This place was DIRTY!
