"Bartenders & restaurant attendants seem annoyed by foreigners. Not friendly at all. Lobby is on 15 so you have to go on two different elevators to get to your room every time."

"A fantastic hotel with a great location, near Dotonbori. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful (especially to foreign tourists). The property was immaculate and had such a warm vibe about it. You are about a 7 min. walk to Dotonbori, with a train station just a few minutes (walk) away. We could not have been happier with our stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka."

"Great hotel next door to a subway entrance, an excellent bakery and a Konbini. All staff were very professional and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Room cost was terrific value. They also do luggage forwarding."

"I was very pleased with the hotel and the cleanliness overall. Considering the price point it won't be 100% perfect. I did not purchase the breakfast but apparently it's good. I would purchase it before you arrive. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were moderate size but nothing special. It had good access to the subway if you can walk a little bit. Restaurants are all over the place anywhere you go."

"If you're looking for a clean, bare minimum place to stay, and are under 6' (or 182cm) then this place might suit you. The bathroom is extremely cramped. You'll have to sit on an angle to use the toilet, and the shower/tub is so small and narrow it's difficult to wash and shower normally. Water pressure was also weak, so if you enjoy soaking"
