Not what we expected
The cabin itself was in great shape. You can tell it is new. It’s nice when it comes to looks. It also has a great view from the decks.
However, there were four unexpected things about it:
1. Location - if you don’t like steep small roads do not rent this cabin. It is way up in the mountain and was very unnerving to drive to. That is not communicated in the listing. We had pizza delivered and the driver even made comments about it. We were all nervous by the time we got to it because of the drive up the mountain roads.
2. The whole house is not level. You can feel the slope downhill just walking across the floor. We got used to it but didn’t love that aspect of the cabin.
3. The kitchen is not furnished very well. It’s fine if you don’t plan to cook but if you do bring pots, pans, etc.
4. The mattresses were very uncomfortable.
All in all the cabin is new and looks nice but beware of the above items before renting.
