"The pictures on the we sure don’t match. But the amenities were as described and comfortable. Before arrival, the front desk clerk led us to believe the property was beach side. Dana Point is a town wide no smoking policy and when we got to our room the patron next door was smoking weed and cigarettes. Toilet paper is single ply. Furniture needs updating. "

"Cute little hotel with very nice staff. However, the noise level was insane and i barely slept the three nights i had booked for a work trip; door slams from the neighbors, the upstairs neighbors walking, and some loud mystery sound that repeated every ten seconds, and the ice machine... also, I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast; was pretty much just waffles/bread items and coffee with coffee mate pods. Unfortunately had to purchase breakfast and coffee elsewhere. "

"Overall the house, location, and professionally managed hosting are good - but this was all negatively superseded by the property being under significant seawall reconstruction and remediation. Our stay was accompanied by active construction workers onsite during two of our four days performing full construction duties including personnel, noise, and work trucks blocking the limited parking. The hosting management company is completely out of the touch on the extent of construction duties being performed and the associated impacts to the enjoyment of the property."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this wonderful place while there was a major snowstorm back home...what timing! The home itself had everything we needed, including very comfortable beds, TVs in every bedroom and the living room, and an indoor gas fireplace. Everything was very clean and we had plenty of room for 3 of us. We spent most of our time outside on the patio and the beach, which was outstanding. There was enough space and seating for us to enjoy company, yet solitude when we needed it. The hosts were great communicators and very friendly, keeping us updated and informed, and were quick to respond to our emails. The security guards at the gate were friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the food delivery service, so that everything was there when we arrived. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing getaway from the winter blues!"

"House was really nice. The host was unresponsive. I called the guard shack 45 minutes before check in and they had no knowledge we were arriving or that the house was even rented for the weekend. The guard gave me the host's number and after numerous call and texts she got back to me. She asked for vehicle information I had given her weeks earlier. The next day I tried to add our second vehicle for the guard shack. She never responded so we had to walk out past the gate. "

"Our first VRBO experience and it was great. We loved “waking up to the waves” and Carmen was a wonderful hostess. She provided so many amenities and was always available to answer questions. Cheers to coffee at the water’s edge in the AM and margaritas at the exact same spot for sunset. We paddleboarded, boogie boarded, roasted marshmallows, walked the beach at low tide, simply enjoyed family, and RESTED. Best week eh-ver!"
