Villa 10A & 10B needs updating

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been coming to Island House for years staying in Villa’s 10A & 10B and our family gathering has always been anticipated and this year was no different. Our stay was enjoyable. We brought our children decades ago and now their children are part of this vacation. A great family experience. Both villas do need to be updated though. The couches and kitchen furniture have seen better days. The mattresses also fit that same category. From a maintenance standpoint, the shower door in the master was broken, many of the blinds were not functional and light bulbs were either missing or needed replaced. The screen door to the lanial does not close/lock and the exterior door to the villas did not have the hardware to close. When both units are updated, it will enhance the vacation experience that brought us to Island House decades ago.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented both units , the entire villa for our family vacation. The units were dirty , shower in the upstairs unit had not been cleaned as they was sand that must have been from the previous tenant. The carpet on the stairs leading to the unit upstairs was filthy. A plumber had to go out twice for issues with the toilets . Bedspread and furniture were Stained .Management didn’t really seem to concerned. They did say they were going to compensate us for a night or two but they did nothing . The units need a complete deep cleaning . We have been coming to siesta key for years and I have never had this happen anywhere else . WeWe actually booked based on a referral however this particular unit is completely neglected . The outside area of the development is kept nice however they interior cleaning crew was totally sub par .

Horrible vacation

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the first news is that the air conditioning was broken, they fixed it and it was without cooling all week.They never warned us before charging that the beach could not be used due to contamination, it had been like this for more than a month before arriving.I have traveled a lot in this condo, I am coming since 2015 and it is the first time that I have wanted to go home, everything was very dirty, very old furniture, lack of cleaning, everything you touched was falling and the most impressive was the amount of Cockroaches omg it was horrible, nothing worked here, the bathrooms could not be more dirty, thick, bad smell.We were told that the manager would contact us and we are still waiting for the call from him.We would have loved if someone had given us some explanation and solution.We rented unit V10 A AND B and we lost our money, our vacations were with two boys and a baby, nothing good to remember.
